John Welch
Magyar, II (aka JJ), joined the department in 1985 as a junior
firefighter. He graduated the junior program and progressed through the
ranks to his current position. He has been serving as Chief since 1999.
Previous positions held include: engineer, captain, assistant chief,
deputy chief, trustee, and vice president. Chief Magyar is responsible
for overseeing all operational programs.
