On July 31st, 2004, the Central Pennsylvania Emergency Services Alliance was officially formed and dedicated between the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department and the Keystone Hook and Ladder Company #1 of Muncy, PA.

The goal of the alliance is all about sharing.  The sharing of manpower, equipment, and resources can reduce several burdens.  Working together on fundraisers makes less work for everyone.  The sharing of staffing can assist much like associate members.  Trends in this day in age of the fire service, it is all about doing more with less.  That is exactly what the Alliance aims to succeed in.
