Clinton Twp - Reported Working Garage Fire

2/28/06 @ 1257 - Engine 13 was dispatched on the 1st Alarm Working Fire Box in Clinton Twp on Fritz Station Rd at the County Line for the report of a working garage fire.  Upon arrival of Chief 12, it was found that it was a small rubbish fire behind the garage, lightly involving the garage.  Engine 13, Tower and Rescue 12 arrived on scene simultaneously.  A tanker used by the landfill also responded.  We were placed available shortly after arriving on scene. 

White Deer Twp, Union County - House Fire w/ possible entrapment

2/27/06 @ 1310hrs - Rescue 13 was dispatched for the RIT assignment to Old Rt. 15 in White Deer Twp. for a well involved house fire with possible entrapment.  Upon arrival on scene, the Rescue crew set-up for RIT.  Ground ladders were thrown and some OV work was completed.  Unfortunately, the fire proved to be fatal for the resident.  The Rescue went available in the first due at 1604hrs. 

 

City of Williamsport - Structure Fire

2/26/06 @ 0751hrs - Rescue 13 was dispatched for the RIT assignment on Box 1 in the City of Williamsport for a working Structure Fire.  First arriving City units found fire in the rear of the third division of a three story apartment building.  Upon our arrival on scene, the crew prepared for RIT operations and staged.  Rescue 13 went available at 1038hrs. 

 

Gregg Twp, Village of Allenwood, Union County - Reported working Kitchen Fire

2/24/06 @ 1139hrs - Rescue 13 was dispatched to White Deer Ave (Rt. 15) in Allenwood Village (Gregg Twp.) for a reported working kitchen fire.  Upon arrival of Rescue 13, smoke was still showing as the crew from UC Engine 9-1 was making their attack.  We were assigned as the RIT crew and set-up for such.  Our Thermal Imager was utilized by the boys from Station 9.  Rescue 13 went available at 1224 hrs.   

 

Montgomery Borough - First Due Chimney Fire

2/22/06 @ 1729hrs - A passerby stopped by the firehouse to report a chimney fire with flames showing from the chimney just a block away at the intersection of Main and Montgomery Streets.  Lycoming County 911 was advised, and the box alarm sent out.  Engine and Rescue 13 responded with 11 personnel and Chief 113 (Blaker) had the command.  The engine crew split with one half investigating chimney from the roof while the other half stood-by.  The Rescue crew checked for interior extension.  Crews went available at 1757hrs. 

 

Milton Borough, Northumberland County - Working Structure Fire

2/19/06 @ 2026 - For the second time in eights hours, Rescue 13 was responding to Milton FD's first due for a working house fire.  Upon arrival on scene the Rescue crew set up for RIT operations.  Crews from Milton made a great stop on the fire.  Rescue 13 went available at 2226 hrs.

Turbot Twp, Northumberland County (Milton's first due) - Working House Fire

2/19/06 @ 1126hrs - Rescue 13 was dispatched for the RIT assignment to Paradise Rd. in Turbot Twp for a well involved house fire.  Chief 1501 arrived on scene with a well involved 2 1/2 story house.  When Rescue 13 arrived on scene, you couldn't tell that the house was once more than one division.  The Rescue 13 crew assisted w/ overhaul as did an excavator.  The rescue cleared at 1415 hrs. 

 

Loyalsock Twp - Working Structure Fire

2/18/06 @ 0116hrs - Rescue 13 was dispatched on the 2nd Alarm to Pennsylvania Ave in Loyalsock Twp for a working structure fire.  This was originally dispatched at Box 1-4 in the City of Williamsport until the address was corrected.  Rescue 13 arrived on scene and set-up for the RIT operations.  The rescue cleared at 0216 hrs.
